With the advanced of technology, cloud computing technology allows unlimited number of machines connected to a common system. What we normally do? Normally we host website on a physical server. As a result if server is off, website is off. On the other hand, as cloud is related with virtual servers, if one server is off, another  will continue to pull resource from the remaining network of servers. Various data centers in different locations normally cover this risk. Cloud computing technologies that allow unlimited number of machines to act as one system. Cloud system is reliable. 

For any downtime of server, cloud has no constraint for physical capability of server. So it has great flexibility.  The payment system in cloud is simple. Customer will pay what they are using. So there is no change of wastage. Most of common hosting system has great wastage in space. Lot of unused spaces but giving payment.
